but a think a calendar when creating or edit a task will be useful
and I didn't found out how I can add a sub tasks

Feedback: Having todoist as the 1 project is a great learning tool.
I like the ability of having subtask.

- No feedback link within the application
- Clicking a pop-out menu down arrow on the right side of the screen makes the pop-out go off the viewport
- Typo: "No itmes" after creating a new project

Otherwise, very slick work, from 2 minutes of playing with it. :)

3. Save it.

If I enter the date as 9:20, then the time is set properly.

I don't like the idea of having a calendar, it would complicate the interface. Why do you find a calendar useful (essential)?

You insert sub-items by doing following:

• Edit an item
• Press Ctrl-Enter to append a new item
• Press Ctrl-Right to indent the item to the right
• Enter your text and press Enter to save the item

• Ctrl-Enter: Saves the current item and appends a new item below it
• Shift-Enter: Saves the current item and appends a new item above it

A Shift-Click on a check box will force the items to be transfered to the history.

The dates can be a bit verbose. Thanks for reporting that bug. It will be fixed later today.

It was a bit difficult to try out properly because things were a bit slow for me.
The first thing I noticed was I couldn't work out how to change the nesting when reordering items, I had to go into the edit doodad. Confused me a little bit.
Other than that I'm afraid I can't give any constructive criticism due to the slowness.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The slowness was my side. I'm currently using it at college and it is quite nice. I've noticed a couple of bugs though [I am using IE6 SP2]:
The dropdown list for sub-items do not appear under the button, but rather further to the right, the extent depending on the nesting level of the item. This causes it to appear off screen for deeply nested items.
I use / for my dates. I would request that that syntax be added. I am comfortable with learning to use ., but others may not be.
When using the incorrect date the error messages are not quite user friendly, if you intend to aim this at novice users too. The [object error] is confusing and should possibly be hidden into a collapsable console. "Syntax error" also does not properly convay "Incorrect date format" to those who are not familiar with computers. I would suggest "Invalid/Incorrect format".

Sorry, my lesson finished before I got a chance to type up everything. I'm now on a machine with both IE6 and Firefox 0.9.3

It would be nice to be able to have links. I realise though that there are often problems with non-links being recognised as links and screwing up.

I don't like the destructive behaviour of setting a top-level element as completed. If I have a series of sub-tasks, some completed and others not, and I accidently mark the parent as completed, even if I uncheck the parent I now have to remember which of the sub-tasks were completed and which weren't. I would recomment simply dissabling the checkboxes of sub-tasks who's parents are completed, thus maintaining their state should the parent accidently be checked. You could also add an option to check all sub-tasks to the drop down menu.

I would also request being able to use "x weeks" for the search, and possibly a range search (i.e. 1.1 - 31.1)

If you are in edit mode, then press Ctrl+Down until you reach the bottom such that you are adding a new item you can Ctrl+Left to the top level nesting. However, if you press Ctrl+Down once more you can no longer go to the top level nesting, only the first sub-level. [IE+Firefox]

Quite a serious bug which I'm not 100% sure how to replicate. I have Todoist open in both IE and Firefox. I was marking some items as checked and unchecked in IE. When I reloaded the page the ordering of the items was shuffled.

I just noticed you used GET instead oPOST when logging in...might want to change that.

• I will make the error message more clear
• I won't add support for /. I don't want to support too many ways of entering dates
• I will support X weeks and date spans (1. - 31.)
• I will also look on the Ctrl-Down issue

I like the indention feature - that's something I haven't seen before. The clever use of the "date language shortcuts" is welcome too it reminds me of the auto-complete feature of a mail client. The list items don't really scream "hey here is something you can interact with" but I guess for reasons of simplicity that is not necessary. :)

Congratulations for the release, but registering was strange:
when I clicked on "create my account", IE6 said there was an error on the page + the greybox didn't close.
Nonetheless, I was registered ok...

A few questions:

Why you can't reorder at any time ? Why you must click "reorder" before ?

Please explain "priority". This information is not displayed, and items are not reordered according to it...

I just fixed the IE 6 bug. Thanks for reporting it.

You can't reorder all the time since the interface would be a little harder, for example, it would not be intuitive that you can double click to edit an item.

When you set priority 4 to an item, then it should be faded away (slightly).

I did not notice the fading because I took a bad example.

Great application!

My biggest request is the ability to reorder the tasks in time-based lists as well as project-based lists.

Right now, if I have tasks from multiple projects due today, I have no way to generate a chronological list of what I need to get done today.

I also find the "Reorder" toggle annoying and unintuitive and I wish there were a way to just drag items around.
