Passion

What is the most important thing to succeed in something? Why are some people better in something than others? Is it intelligence? Is it talent(s)? Is it creativity?

Let me begin by answering the first questions: Intelligence is useless if you don't use it or don't have motivation to use it. Having a talent for something is just a start. Being creative is all about working hard and trying different ideas [1].

The thing that drives great people is their passion - that's the pill they take that differs them from others. That gives them the power to work hard - harder than all the others. Do you think money was the drive for Albert Einstein to relativity theory? What about Maradona and his great soccer skills? What was behind creating Google? I would definitely say passion - great people succeed because they love their "work" and they work HARD. How many great people do you know that didn't work hard to achieve something?

Lack of passion can destroy even good businesses. In Denmark my dad and mom had a grocery store for about 8 years. They loved their work and they were pretty successful. Some months ago they sold the store (because of my dads illness). The guy that bought it thought it was an easy job - on the outside it looks easy. But! The job, as every job, requires passion if you want to succeed! Anyway, the store will probably be history pretty soon - - unless somebody with passion takes over. I am basically trying to say that without passion you wont succeed!

Want to be successful? Find your passion and pursue it (i.e. work hard)! How do you find it? I have no clue about that, but I think you either have a passion for something or you don't.

PS: In the future I will use my blog more often to state my opinions and thoughts (more of this stuff will pop up). I even plan to write articles!
