Time spent on this project is 1 week of very hard work - after that we have spent 1 week on improving the application. Mathias did the RSS parser (he used Java, JDOM, XSLT and some Servlet/JSP). I did the interface part. I used some nifty Python technologies - which really did their work! I used Cheetah as my template engine. The web-site uses a lot of DHTML and most requests are done over XMLHttpRequest (the popular term for this kind of communication is Ajax) - anyway, using Ajax has made the interface very dynamic.
