Plurk Trends launches

Creating trends and trending topics has been a challenge, especially since Plurk needs to support lots of languages (including Chinese).

But we have done it and you can check out current hot trends for US:

The trends are in real time and we even beat Google Trends (which still have not marked earthquake as a trend):

i would like to ask when is the actual date of plurk 1st year anniversary?.

How does the actual data of the trends compare to Google trends? I realize they haven't noted earthquake as a trend, but what I mean is how to do trends that do appear actually compare; are they similar?
