Hey Amir,
do you know Steve Souders?
He has done some interesting articles, google tech talks, etc and written an O'Reilly book about the research he has done for optimizing Yahoo's loadtimes. (frontend performance)
Check him out, he has some very interesting things to say :)

Dieter:
Have not heard much about him, but can see that I used his YSlow plugin for Firefox :)

He seems to have a pretty good blog thought on http://stevesouders.com/

So, do you host your sites with Amazon? And if so, may I ask what you end up paying?

A few quick calculations seemed to tell me that hosting with Amazon would cost between $100 and $800 a month. WAY past my budget. How can you afford that?

Actually, in general, who do you recommend for hosting? I'm amazed at how poor the service has been from the few hosts I've tried for shared access: godaddy, lunarpages, and easycgi have all be absolutly abismal. Useless. Jokes, if only they were funny.

Btw I just looked up the video I meant.
This is the one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Btw I love your captcha.

Thanks for the link Dieter, will check it out.
