GreyBox 4.0 unleashed
I have just released version 4.0 GreyBox, a pop-up window that doesn't suck.
New things in this version include:
AJS is the first polymorphic library that takes size reduction to a whole new level -> A Python script can scan the code, find the AJS functions that are used and from this generate a new library with only the needed functions. For GreyBox the AJS minification reduced AJS's size from 30 KB to only 9 KB - that's really something! And on top of this I used Dojo's Rhino based compressor to chop even more off. For compression, the very popular Lightbox 2 script uses 100 KB, where Prototype takes 50 KB - I really doubt that Lightbox 2 uses all the features of Prototype. Viva la AJS :)
