AmiDB going enterprise

Frédéric Hars is currently implementing Oracle support for AmiDB! Jea, it is a shock, but it's pretty cool. I mean, the probably most simple database framework out there is getting support for Oracle!? This also means that Skeletonz will be able to run on Oracle databases.

A little info about Frédéric Hars (Fred): He is a French manager for an international IT firm. He has taste and he is hackerish - which I of course admire. He has also hacked some things for Skeletonz, i.a.:

  • Automatic hookup of plugins
  • API for plugins
  • Plugin manager
  • Unicode support

It's also amazing that he had no trouble at all to just jump in and code using AmiDB, AmiWeb or AmiJS... But of course, he is a manager that codes in Python for gods sake :)

Generally, I know some very nice french people... Fred, Pascal and Juliet (I was with her for some time (until she had to move back to France, sigh)).

A little story about Pascal: He bought my collector.com domain some years ago. I got the money, but unfortunately it went around 2 years before Pascal got his domain (we had A LOT of troubles with the domain transfer). In this process (e.g. waiting around 2 years for his domain) Pascal was very understanding, he even bought me a book, because I had to pay some extra - unnecessary! - fees to the danish shit-company called Cliche.
